Dog Management Policy and Dog Control Bylaw 2024

Council amended the Dog Management Policy (the Policy) and made the Dog Control Bylaw 2024 (the Bylaw) on 26 September 2024.

The amended Policy and the new Bylaw, which replaces the revoked Dog Management Bylaw 2013, come into force on Monday 28 October 2024.

Hard copies of the Policy and Bylaw will also be available free of charge at Whangarei District Council customer service centres on Rust Avenue in Whangārei and on Takutai Place in Ruakākā, and at the Whangārei Central, Te Kamo, Onerahi and Tikipunga libraries.
