Waipu Caves Road bridge replacement

Our contractor, Steve Bowling Contractors, will be replacing the bridge superstructure on Waipu Caves Road from 17 March to 30 June 2025.

Work begins on Monday 17 March with limited impact to drivers for approximately two weeks, but from time to time there may be a stop / go in place. Approximately two weeks later (date to be confirmed), a road closure will be in place to safely rebuild the bridge.

Local residents have been advised via letter drop of the proposed works and road closure. An electronic sign board will also be located near the site to advise residents of the proposed closure.
