Free and secure bike parking is coming to Whangārei with 15 new Locky Dock bike-parking stations being installed around the city.

Locky Docks provide users with free and secure parking and charging, making it easier for more people to cycle more often.

The easy-to-use system means you can lock your bike with the simple use of an app and by scanning the QR code. The app can be downloaded on Apple and Google Play stores. 

You can also use your BeeCard (bus card) or a Locky Dock card to lock your bike. Locky Dock cards are available for free from Whangārei Central Library. 

The charging facility at each dock is a standard three-point plug. Bring your own charger to charge your e-bike or mobility scooter for free.

This project is a public-private partnership. The majority of capital costs for the network come from Locky Dock Network and sponsor partners, with all ongoing operational costs covered by the media funding and sponsor partners.
