Northland Car Club proposed road closures

Pursuant to Schedule 10, clause 11(d) of the Local Government Act 1974, notice is given that for the purpose of the Northland Car Club Motorsport Event Series (January to March 2025), organised by Northland Car Club Inc, Whangarei District Council will, at its meeting on 28 November 2024, consider the proposal to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic:

Where: Kaiikanui Road, from 3km towards Webb Road to 8km from Pigs Head Road intersection / roundabout.

• Sunday 26 January 2025
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:30pm

Where: Crows Nest Road, from intersection of Paiaka Road to 2km from SH1.

• Sunday 16 February 2025
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:30pm

Where: Mangapai Caves Road, from Roundtree Road to McDonnell Road.

• Sunday 16 March 2025
• Period of closure: 8:00am to 5:30pm

During the proposed periods of closure the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads: Emergency services may use the closed road, and residents may use the closed road by arrangement with the organiser:
