Pay for dog registration

If you have received your dog registration invoice in the mail, there are a number of ways you can pay for your dog registration.

  • Online:  pay online with your credit or debit card
  • By phone:  call with your credit or debit card details
  • In person:  come into one of our customer service centres with cash, credit or debit card
  • Internet banking:  pay via internet banking.

Please note that there are no fees charged if you pay by credit card.

Online

Step 1.Have your card available

Pay using a credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard only). We do not charge a fee for online credit card payments.

Step 2.You'll need your reference

You will need your animal number which is shown on your dog registration invoice.  The number is in the column 'WDC ID' next to the dog’s name.

Step 3.Pay online

Once you click on the "Accept and pay online" button you will be redirected to a secure payment website.

You can pay for one or more dogs at the same time.

Check dog registration fees

Simply enter the Animal number and follow the instructions until you get to the shopping cart.  Click ‘Save Cart’ to save the animal number.

Click the ‘Dog Registration’ link in the left navigation to add another animal number.

Continue until all dogs (animal numbers) have been added.

A receipt will be issued after payment.

Step 4.Receive dog registration tag(s)

Once the registration fees have been paid, we will send you the physical dog registration tag(s) to put onto your dog's collar, via the post.

By phone

Step 1.Have your card available

Step 1.Bring into us

Bring your dog registration invoice into one of our Customer Service centres.

You will need your animal number which is shown on your dog registration invoice.  The number is in the column 'WDC ID' next to the dog’s name.

You can pay with cash, eftpos, Visa or Mastercard.

You will receive the physical dog registration tag(s) to put onto your dog’s collar and a payment receipt.

Internet banking

Step 1.You'll need your reference

You will need your animal number which is shown on your dog registration invoice.  The number is in the column 'WDC ID' next to the dog’s name.

Step 2.Pay registration

We are listed as a bill payee with your bank.  Search for "Whangarei District" in the payee list and select one of the payment types.

Pay the amount listed on the invoice.

When making an internet bank payment please use the correct code and reference types.
