Contractors have laid new paving between the Old Library, the Central Library, Te Iwitahi (our new building) and down Lovers Lane.

The work was part of an overall plan to unite the paved spaces around and between the buildings, connecting them with each other, Cafler Park and the new Lovers Lane Bridge.

Lovers Lane Bridge opened to the public on Thursday 14 November 2024 and now connects the Raumanga Shared Path with the Kamo Shared Path.

Now that the paving and bridge are complete, attention is focused on creating a seamless join between them and the park.
