Urban Design Strategy

The Urban Design Strategy recognises urban design issues that constrain Whangārei's full growth potential.  

The strategy sets out the vision and the means for addressing the issues through the promotion of high quality urban design.  

It outlines:

• what the community expects that a high quality urban environment in Whangārei should look, feel, and function.
• the direction Council wishes to take regarding the future of our environment.
