Silver, Fringe, Maritime and food festivals! Night, Tūtūkākā and The Artisans markets! Christmas parades, fireworks, concerts, charity runs, walks and challenges! These are just a few of the events our communities are planning to run before Christmas.

Council’s Venues and Events team report that community groups are getting their applications in for all sorts of events and they expect the pace to pick up even more.

“We have a pile of applications to process over the next few weeks. We are also keen for people to look out for opportunities to register for coming festivals,” said Major Events Team Leader Anna Terwiel.

“Stay tuned for our upcoming Christmas and Endless Summer Festival registration openings. These festivals offer the perfect opportunity to celebrate, participate and create unforgettable memories. Make sure you are part of the joy and excitement that await!”
