Helping the springs

Council’s stormwater teams have been collaborating with Dragonfly Springs Wetland Sanctuary in Onerahi for better stormwater outcomes.

Dragonfly Springs Wetland Sanctuary is an independently established and funded project.

Council has proudly supported maintenance of the stormwater sediment ponds connected to the public stormwater network.

This collaboration helps to achieve important stormwater management and environmental outcomes for our community. 

Stormwater Engineer Mazza Aziz says, "Our efforts have not only improved the health of the wetlands but also ensured the ponds continue to function effectively as part of Onerahi’s stormwater management system, keeping us compliant with National Environmental Standards."
