Amended Alcohol Control Bylaw

Council amended the Alcohol Control Bylaw 2018 (the Bylaw) and the register of alcohol ban areas on 12 December 2024.

The amended Bylaw and alcohol ban areas come into force on 19 December 2024.

How to obtain copies of the Bylaw

The Bylaw and register of alcohol ban areas will be available online here from 19 December 2024:

Hard copies of the Bylaw are available free of charge at Whangarei District Council customer service centres on Rust Avenue in Whangārei, on Takutai Place in Ruakākā and at the Whangārei Central, Te Kamo, Onerahi and Tikipunga libraries.

An online map of the alcohol ban areas will also be available to view from 19 December 2024.
