Whangarei Heads Road fibre upgrade

12 Apr 2025 Chorus contractors will install new fibre ducts along Whangarei Heads Road (from 1258 Whangarei Heads Road to 110 Ritchie Road) from 17 February to 15 June 2025. Stop / go traffic management may be used outside of peak times.

12 Apr 2025 Grey Street, between Bank Street and Norfolk Street, will be undergoing a watermain upgrade from 1 to 25 April 2025.

Whangarei Heads Road roadworks

12 Apr 2025 There will be works along Whangarei Heads Road in Parua Bay from Monday 7 April until approximately Friday 27 June 2025 to replace the watermain, which is located under the carriageway.

SH1 Oakleigh roadworks

13 Apr 2025 NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) contractors will be rebuilding a section of State Highway 1 at Oakleigh between Tuesday 25 March and Thursday 1 May 2025. Work will be undertaken overnight between 9:00pm and 5:00am Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays. On Sunday 13 April 2025, there will be a full road closure in place overnight.
