Whangārei Heads Road roadworks

Northern Pipe and Civil will be carrying out watermain construction works along Whangārei Heads Road for 1.4km between Bay View Road and Taurikura (approximately 2288 Whangarei Heads Road).

Whangārei Heads watermains renewal

Work will begin on Monday 20 January 2025 and will continue for approximately eight weeks to replace the aging and damaged pipes.

This work will be completed in various sections of Whangārei Heads Road one at a time.

The road will be reduced to one lane 24 / 7 from Monday to Friday with portable traffic signals (stop / go), which may cause some delays. 

From Friday night through to Monday morning, both lanes will be open.
