Puanga on a Plate is a vibrant food festival that celebrates Puanga Matariki with a delicious twist.

This event is a culinary journey where local restaurants showcase their creativity by crafting dishes that resonate with the themes of home, family, and identity.

It's an opportunity for the community to come together and share in the abundance of food.

From traditional kai to contemporary fusion, each dish tells a story, connecting diners during this special time of reflection and celebration.

Two esteemed judges (to be announced) have the exciting role of selecting the winner of this year's competition. The winner of the Judges award will receive a beautifully crafted local trophy, granting the winning restaurant ultimate bragging rights.

Registration for participating restaurants will be open from Monday 31 March to Monday 28 April 2025.

Voting for the People's Choice award will be open from Tuesday 27 May to Wednesday 18 June 2025.

The recipients of the People's Choice and Judges awards will be announced on Thursday 19 June 2025.
