Love free events? Love to have fun? Then you will LOVE the Love it Here Festival!

Whangarei District Council invites you and your loved ones to celebrate the reopening of Cafler Park with the brand-new Lovers Lane bridge and plaza area this Valentine's Day.

This free family event will have heaps to see and do with food trucks, performances, stalls and plenty of activities for the whole family to get involved in!

 Set up a romantic picnic and enjoy the mood with music performances by Whangārei Youth Music, Opera North and more.

 Kicking off the event will be a marching display from the local Army and Airforce cadets, where you are welcome to join in.

 Check out the interactive circus zone from the incredible team at Circus Kumarani.

 The Night Library will be back with a range of activities, including a sensory room, arts activities, blind book date, library tours and story reading. Snuggle up with that special someone with a hot drink from the cafe or play a board game.

 Come and have a chat to your local council about how you can have your say. Learn more about our advisory groups and chat to staff. There will also be a Love Your Wheels station, where you can decorate your bike, scooter or skateboard ready for a relaxed twilight bike ride through on Raumanga Shared Path over the new bridge. Suitable for the whole whānau.

 Strike a pose with your Valentine and then head on over to The Shutter Room Gallery, where you can print your selfies from the park to take home with you.
