CollaboratioNZ Exhibition and Auction

Northland and international artists unite at CollaboratioNZ in March 2025.

Every two years, 70 exceptional artists from Aotearoa and around the world gather in Whangārei Heads to collaborate, share skills and create remarkable, one-of-a-kind artworks. This March, CollaboratioNZ returns to bring together adventurous, “top of their game” artists across mediums, including sculpture, glass, ceramics, wood, metal, fibre, jewellery, furniture making and painting.

Visitors are invited to the Public Open Day on Tuesday 11 March, from 10:00am to 3:00pm, at Manaia Baptist Camp to experience live artmaking and view collaborative works in progress.

The event culminates in a no-reserve auction at the Hihiaua Cultural Centre in Whangārei Town Basin on Saturday 15 March, with a preview starting at 11:00am and the auction kicking off at 1:00pm. This is a rare opportunity for art collectors, galleries, and art enthusiasts to acquire original, collaborative works by some of the most talented artists from New Zealand and beyond.
