Reserve a computer

All public computers have full Internet access.

Whangārei Central Library

The public computers are free to use with sessions of 15 minutes, 30 minutes or up to a maximum of 60 minutes. 

There are public computers on the ground and first floor.

Also, on the first floor are computers in the Genealogy Room and the Gazette PC for accessing The New Zealand Gazette in the New Zealand Room. These can all be booked.

Branch libraries

The computers at Kamo, Onerahi and Tikipunga Libraries are all public computers and are free to use with a maximum session time of 30 minutes. 


How to book a computer

Book with My Monitor

Step 1.Log into My Monitor

Go to My Monitor

Log in with either:

  • a guest ticket number
  • your library card number and PIN.

Step 2.Select Book a PC

Step 3.Select location date and time

  • Site: select library location.
  • Location: Only for Whangarei Central Library - select either Ground Floor or Level 1.
  • PC Type: Only for Whangarei Central Library Level 1 - select:
    - Gazette PC this computer is only for accessing The New Zealand Gazette
    - Genealogy to use the computers in the Genealogy Room for family history research.
    - Public PC to use the computers with full Internet access in the New Zealand Room.
  • Select a day
  • Set the Times

Step 4.Submit

Step 5.Receive Confirmation

Click the Notify Me button to receive an email notification of your computer reservation.

Click the Modify button to change your computer reservation location, dates, times, etc. or to delete it.
