Beamakids+

Beamakids+logo.

Beamakids+ is a new section on Beamafilm designed specifically for kids and families. It offers a child safe collection of G, PG and E-rated movies, TV shows and educational documentaries.

There are two sections customised for children:  Kids & Family section has family movies, TV shows cartoons and educational films classified by genre. The Students section, has educational films classified by subject area.

Parents can set up a password to stop children from leaving the Beamakids+ area. They can also restrict the viewing of PG content. See setting parental controls below.

What's needed

  • Membership of Whangarei District Libraries with a valid library card number and PIN.

  • Internet access.
  • A computer or mobile device with the Beamafilm software or apps for streaming and watching eMovies.
  • A Beamafilm account.

Using Beamakids+

Follow these easy steps to access Beamakids+ at any time:

  • Log in to your Beamafilm account: select Log In in the top right corner and enter your email address and password.

Help with signing in to Beamafilm

  • Click the Enter kids+ button in the top right corner of any Beamafilm page.

  • Watch movies!

There are trailers provided for all Beamafilm movies to help you choose and there are no viewing limits, so you can watch as many as you want, whenever you want.

To exit Beamakids+, click the Leave kids+ button.

Setting parental controls

Setting a parental control password

After entering Beamakids+, a pop-up will prompt you to set a password. This will ensure that children cannot leave Beamakids+ without entering the password.

Click on the here link and enter your password:

PG-rated films

Beamakids+ includes some PG-rated films which are recommended for viewing with a guardian. You can remove all PG-rated films from Beamakids+ by clicking the Disable PG Titles button:

Access parental controls in My Account

Parental controls can also be accessed on your Beamafilm account page.

Click on the round button with your initials at the top right side of the Beamafilm banner. Select My Account then Parental Control.
